May the force be with you! Meet Luke and Leia Luke and Leia were probably born outside with no real family. Their mom was most likely a stray dog who had to help them survive by finding trash for them to eat. We have it on good authority that the majority of what was in their stomachs was leaves and sticks. That isnt a very nutritious diet, so they are very thin. A very nice lady bought them some dog food and when we sat it next to them, they started scratching on the bag because they were so hungry. Somewhere along the way Mom was separated from them either by injury or illness and they were on their own. We estimate their birthday to be around 01/01/14 so once their Mom was gone they have been taking care of each other. It is amazing that they survived because they were found in a wooded area where there are coyotes and other wild animals who could have killed them. They are very bonded to each other. We would like for them to be adopted by the same family because they would be lost without each other. Well even do a two-fer. We will adopt two puppies fer the price of one. Even though they have had a lot to deal with in their 6 short months of life, they are friendly and loving. They are slightly timid when you first meet them, but all it takes is a little bit of love and they just soak it up. Its like they are trying to make up for all the love and care that they didnt get before now. They are working on their potty training and would be great, playful little dogs for any family. Their coats and color looks like a Golden Retriever, but their size and their small feet means that they could be some type of a Terrier. They only weigh about 20 pounds at 6 months of age, so they probably wont grow much more. Come and see them at Petco and give them a chance. They really need something good to finally happen in their lives.
