Condolences pour in for T C Teli Arunachal Pradesh government today declared Sunday as state mourning day on account of the demise of former minister T C Teli who passed away yesterday after a prolonged illness. As a mark of respect to the departed soul, the national flag will be flown at half mast in all the government offices, the official order read. Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Lt. Gen (Retd) Nirbhay Sharma has expressed shock and grief on the sudden demise of former minister T. C. Teli. Governor has conveyed his sincere condolences to the bereaved family and offered prayers for eternal peace of the departed soul. “Late Teli was a dynamic leader, who always advocated to make Arunachal an exporter state from a consumer one besides supporting taxation. His invaluable contribution would always be remembered, said MP Takam Sanjoy while deeply mourning his sudden death and praying for the departed soul to rest in peace. The Nyishi Elite Society (NES) today condoled the untimely demise of ex-minister T C Teli. “Late Teli was one of the Nyishis to have exposure to the outside world. Because of his dint of hard work and unique spirit of determination, he rose to such a height in political field and garnered social acclamation and was also an able entrepreneur,” the NES said in a condolence message. A life member of the NES he joined the team in the crusade against social evils like child marriage, force marriage etc, prevalent during those days. As a befitting tribute to the departed soul, the Nyishi Elite Society urged the state Government to declare state mourning and further request to declare one day holiday and urge all the senior members of community to attend the last rites at Itanagar residence. Condoling the demise of Teli, Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) termed him as an active, hard working, straightforward, clean heart and a man of principle, who made immense contribution for all round development of the state as a politician and a social worker. Further offering condolences to the bereaved family members, it prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul. The state BJP Unit today condoled the death of ex-minister T C Teli. The entire BJP team visited his residence and paid homage to the departed leader. The Principal, faculty members, non teaching staff and students of the North East Homeopathy Medical College and Hospital also mourned the demise of Teli who was the chairman of the institute. The Arunachal Citizens’ Right in its emergency meeting deeply mourned the untimely demise of T C Teli. The state has lost its one of the great sons with demise of Teli, the ACR said. Mourning the demise, the Hina Nabam Healing Society said that the late minister was a protector of Nyishi Society and did some commendable work for the community. He loved and saved many people in the state, it added. Expressing deep shock at the demise of former minister T C Teli, All Papum Poma Students’ Union said Late Teli was also founding member of the APPSU. He worked selflessly for development of Papum Poma area, the Union said. The All Arunachal Contractors’ Welfare Association (AACWA) also expressed deep shock at the death of former minister T C Teli. The political ideology and principle maintained by Late Teli will inspire the society, the Association said.
