Maya was 10 months old and already spayed. She was a good dog who was on the kill list multiple times. Finally, they killed her. I will never get used to this. I will never accept this. I will never understand how anyone can take the life of a being whose only crime was that she had no home. This is just plain wrong. Maya, rest in peace sweet girl. They can no longer hurt you. I am sorry that we failed you. New York City is no place to be if you are a homeless dog or cat. Shame on us all.
