Maybe 4:1 is a little over optimistic. However, bearing in mind the increased level of administrative duties its probably about right. On the other hand who are they going to get to do these nursing jobs when they pay such low wages nurses are leaving the profession. Whats much more concerning is that to cover the staff shortages the NHS and Hospitals especially, cover those shortages with agency nurses & staff who they pay a minimum & upwards of well over 30% more to do the job! Its a crazy situation. Teachers, Fire-Service, Police and many other would all be on strike by now. But nurses dont strike and CANT strike they just have to put up with this shit or leave.
