Maybe a year or two after its release, I got the DVD as part of my membership with the Columbia House Movie Club, (this was a WHILE back). I tried watching the first five minutes of it and ended up taking it out of the player. It was just...TOO MUCH for me at the time. But last night, after watching DELIVER US FROM EVIL, we needed a comedy - good, bad, something in between, it didnt matter. This was the first thing I thought of, so we cued it up, and guess what? PERFECT for the holidays! Not bad at all. Plus, I already knew that both Andrew Lincoln and Martin Freeman had roles in it, though I did NOT expect the roles to be as sizable as they are! It is so great to see them playing parts where theyre NOT Rick Grimes, or Bilbo Baggins, or John Watson. Yeah, it can get a little sudsy, a little saccharine at times, but guess whos there to reign it in? BILL FREAKIN NIGHY. AFAIC, there isnt a movie thats been made or that WILL be made, that couldnt benefit from having as much of Bill as possible!
