Maybe its you , Lorrie, who is brain washed but I agree you are entitled to your opinion. I have to ask , can you actually believe the life Orcas lead in the Sea World parks is anything even approaching normal for them ? What about their too small tanks ? And making them perform abnormal behaviors ( tricks) before they get to eat ? And separating their babies from their Mothers way too young, And not maintaining any family units for them , isolating them, or mixing them with others they fight with ? What about the videos of the Orcas injured frequently and even killed at Sea World because of this treatment? If you think Sea World is Paradise for Orcas , then check your facts and stats. At Marine parks Orcas, Belugas, Pilot whales, and Dolphins die much younger than in the wild and if they survive , they have behaviors that clearly indicate they suffer from symptoms of boredom, depression,frustration,and grief. I agree there are many abused animals in the world but we need to be concerned about all of them , not leave the ones imprisoned at Sea World out because there are doctors on the spot. There are vets employed at kill shelters too, doesnt help the animals at those places much. Its tragic what we humans will do to keep ourselves entertained and what acts we will commit to make that big money. Abuse is abuse, no matter how good it looks superficially. Sea World is a corporation, not in any way a place to help animals , unless its just for the good publicity. Got to preserve that bottom line ....
