Maybe no one in this world has ever called you beautiful. Maybe you are overweight by thirty pounds or three hundred pounds. Maybe you are pear-shaped or tomato-shaped or string bean-shaped. Maybe your nose is really crooked and always has been. Maybe you didnt inherit symmetrical features, high cheekbones, pouty lips, big round eyes or satin hair. Actually, most of us didnt. Maybe you walk with a limp, have a degenerative disease, or have lost a breast to cancer. Maybe you look in the mirror and know that a swan is never going to replace the ugly duckling. But we look in the mirror with our eyes. That is the problem. God does not see as we see. He never has. And we have always tried to rationalize that He thinks and acts like us, but he does not.
