Maybe somebody can explain this to me. I am a pretty quick study so......When I was ten years old, 53 years ago. We were taught the traditional math but also taught was was called New Math. It is the exact same thing as the math examples being shown in Common Core a lot of people are objecting to. It was a little difficult but not real difficult. I still use it doing mental math today and cross checking numbers sometimes. It helped me mentally calculate numbers. So, it isnt new and it was good. Why is there so much push back?
