Maybe someone can go and ask the three of them while they are sitting there together how it is that there are so many lights STILL out on the Playland Parkway and access road, not fixed because the County is seemingly unable to determine who owns them and is responsible for repairs. No one seems to know if the street lights are technically owned by the County, the State or the City of Rye. All three of these elected officials live not only within walking distance of each others houses in Rye, but all three live within walking distance of Playland Parkway and the access road which have been darkened for eons and pose a safety hazard. All three have served on the Rye City Council, Otis was Mayor of Rye for 12 years. George Latimer was also a County Legislator, Catherine Parker is current County Legislator. Latimer is currently State Senator in Albany, Otis is currently State Assemblyman. How is it they can get together for coffee but they cant get together to figure out how to answer the question: Who owns the lights, the City of Rye, County of Westchester or State of NY? Elected Officials at work....??
