Maybe someone of us don’t know how God direct and not only made Daniel’s path straight, but how He directed King Darius and made his path straight through Daniel’s acknowledgement of God. The next day at the first sight of dawn, the Bible tells us of how King Darius came running to the lion’s den and called to Daniel saying, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God whom you serve continually been able to rescue you from the lions? And Daniel answered, May the king live forever. God sent his angels to shut the mouths of the lions and they did not hurt me.” Nor have I ever done wrong before you, your majesty.” For He is the living God and He endures Forever. Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and the reign of Cyrus the Persian, simple because He Trusted in the Lord with all of His heart. He did not lean on his own understanding. But in all his ways, even when he was doing well, even when he was falsely accused, even when he could have been eaten by the lions, he Acknowledged God and God directed His path. Today, will you be like Daniel? Will you Trust in the Lord? Will you allow Him to direct you and make your path straight? Will you let go of your self-sufficiency and know that We always Need God? ~always
