Maylin went back to her pediatrician this week for the first time in almost a year. With us seeing so many doctors and being at the hospital so much there was no need for her to see him again before now. We got clearance for her to start getting all of the vaccinations that she has missed. She ended up getting the shots she should have gotten when she was four months old except for the live virus vaccinations. She can never have those due to her transplant. Maylin is in the 5% for weight, 50% for height, and 60% for head circumference for her age. I was proud she at least made it on the chart in all areas after everything she has been through. We also took her to the eye doctor this week and everything looked perfect! The next appointment we will be making for May is the dentist. They suggested she go earlier than most kids because the chemo can cause damage to her baby teeth and she already has 14 of them. Maylin also restarted her physical therapy this week. She has been out of it since we moved and it has taken forever to get it swapped to our new address. One of her goals is to hold a crayon or marker and color, so she colored her first picture ( in between us telling her she cant eat the crayons) and of course we hung it on the fridge!
