Mayor A.C. Wharton is asking for the parents of the teens - TopicsExpress

Mayor A.C. Wharton is asking for the parents of the teens responsible for the vicious beating yesterday to turn in their child. Is that the best action plan he could come up with, these type parents are not gonna turn their child in, they will deny he had any involvement. I firmly believe in self defense, but after you kill one, then you will have to kill another, retaliation is always a possibility. So self defense is a reaction in an immediate situation to preserve ones life and wellness, but its not the solution to the problem, and trading kills is only good for funeral homes. We need to come together as a community. these kids need something to do, other than run the streets. It was a horrible thing what happened, and I hope they all get caught, and put in jail, and pay some type of penalty. Troubled teens can be identified, they are the ones who didnt learn to read, they are the ones who miss multiple days out of school, there are trends to identify them and there parents at an early age, this will only continue unless we reach them young and teach them. This is a failure in the home, a nuisance to the community. Churchs on every corner and they offer nothing to enhance the youth, tax payer money goes to fund everything except things for our youth, music, movies, media is all negative and violent and needs to be regulated, especially what comes on the radio. Just because you have a gun doesnt mean you will get to it. You cant guarantee your safe because you have a gun, and how many of us have our guns at work. People we have to come together, help each other, demand the government to do its job, they can suspend your license in a heartbeat but will do nothing if a child cant read in the 8th grade. Things will not get better until we, are willing to reach out to someone elses child and help them. If you dont some else child might kill you or your child. #CheckMate
