Mayor Carr Declares Monday, May 26th “Steve Kinser Day” in Lawrenceburg (Lawrenceburg, IN, May 23, 2014) 20-time World of Outlaws Champion, Steve Kinser, will be racing at the Lawrenceburg Speedway during the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Budweiser UMP Modifieds race this Memorial Day. The event, presented by KOI Auto Parts will draw fans from across the country. City of Lawrenceburg’s Mayor Carr will officially declare Monday “Steve Kinser Day” in Lawrenceburg and present Kinser with a key to the City. Kinser has competed in 36 World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series seasons and has collected 576 career WoO feature wins and won his first championship in their inaugural season March 18th, 1978. He has been named the National 410 Sprint Car Driver of the year 14 times and also named the American Auto Racing Writers and Broadcasters Association “All American Honoree” 19 times. The World of Outlaws has designated the 2014 season as “Salute to the King” in honor of Kinser and his outstanding career in the sport.
