Mayoral candidate/city official question. Do you support, publicizing the minutes of the recent street sweeping contract negotiations and terms of their current agreement. The employees of this department were threatened with privatization prior to negotiations. Do you support an audit of this departments revenues and expenditures. Specifically the year over year figures before and after the signing of the current contract. I personally watched the city council meeting on public television, where the head of the street sweeping department, stood up and thanked the city council for, Not privatizing the department and sparing their jobs. 2 weeks later the city unleashed the 2 to 3 street sweeper and 4 to 6 ticket vehicles, revenue generating circus trains. Where I again personally received a ticket the first morning of the assault on the taxpayers, along with my next door neighbor. After we moved our vehicles for the circus train, returned to our parking places, as has been customary for decades. Only to have the circus train return 20 minutes later. Though it seems Naples and the Peninsula were spared the tax piracy. What went on behind closed doors.
