Mazabuka UPND Cadres Burn Post News Papers SUSPECTED United Party for National Development (UPND) cadres in Mazabuka yesterday grabbed copies of The Post Newspaper from street vendors and burnt them, Southern Province commissioner of police Mary Chikwanda has said. Ms Chikwanda said in an interview yesterday that the incident happened around 11:00 hours near the traffic lights. Ms Chikwanda said the cadres fled after police officers were deployed to restore order. “A group of suspected UPND cadres was yesterday going round Mazabuka district grabbing copies of The Post Newspapers from vendors and burning them. It is like they did not like the contents of the paper concerning election results…police did not apprehend any suspects because they ran away,” Ms Chikwanda said.
