McDonalds Fast Food Workers Strike For Better Wage Minimum wage in Illinois is $8.25. Workers are protesting to make $15. That is actually more than MANY started jobs in America where you usually make $10 per hour. Seeing as it was figured out that McDonald’s would have to up the dollar menu items by 15 cents to cover this, you can see how this could be a good thing for the U.S. economy. They have to re name the dollar menu but come on…what a boost for Americans. Seriously…no one can make rent off that kind of low wage. Cost of living goes up, wages should follow suit. Would you care to pay an extra 15 cents on your dollar menu items??? How about a compromise and they get $12 an hour??? They would have to promise to start smiling and being nice to customers!!
