McNabb, John John Martin McNabb, 43, died in New York City on May 19. John was born to Mary Rhoades Korby and Jerry Glenn McNabb in Greenville, Texas on December 2, 1970. He graduated from the Episcopal School of Dallas and attended the University of North Texas. John had a musical career spanning many years and many bandmates-from Dallas-based bands Texas Killers and Rumble to New York-based Dragmule to a solo career that included playing guitar with Ryan Adams on tour in the United States and in Europe, as well as on studio albums. In 1999, John founded and managed Peligro Audio in New York City. John was also a talented photographer working in the fashion industry, and he founded and managed Indy Road Productions in 2005. With Indy Road Productions, John was instrumental in the production of photo shoots for Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel, Fendi, Vogue, and numerous others. He devoted himself to producing the epic Metiers dArt with Chanel held in Dallas, Texas in December 2013. John was a loving, talented, generous, and kind man, whose work and varied interests took him around the world. He was a friend to so many in Texas, New York, and around the world. Johns family and friends will miss him beyond measure. He is irreplaceable. John is survived by his mother Mary Korby, his father Jerry McNabb, his stepfather Steve Korby, his sister Sophie Dowling and her husband Charles, stepsisters Meg (Blake) Bassett and Melissa (Doug) Fordyce, and his loving nieces and nephews Henry, George, and Mary Dowling, Ellie, Caroline, and Brynn Bassett, and Abby and Sam Fordyce, and his aunt Cheri Rambeau. Funeral services will be held at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home in Dallas on Sunday, May 25 at 2:00 pm. His family will receive visitors at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home from 4:00 to 6:00 on Saturday, May 24. A private burial will be held Monday.
