Me and Kis update: 1. Blood pressure is still high... started - TopicsExpress

Me and Kis update: 1. Blood pressure is still high... started having protein in my urine yesterday so need to schedule an induction due to Preeclampsia. Started gaining between 2-7 pounds a week, having really bad pains, and my vision has been off for about two weeks ago so they were keeping track of my urine... and it confirmed thats what i have. So she will be here very soon! :) Date is not determined yet... we will know by Thursday. 2. SHES COMING HOME! Because I carried her through the entire pregnancy she had more time to cook and bake! And her organs are no longer in the phase of not functioning without help besides POSSIBLY her lungs due to the fact the my fluid and her kidneys are not where they should be (these two things help develop your lungs). But because of my certification with my other two children WORSE CASE is she will come home a breathing machine with a small tube inside her mouth for a few weeks and a catheter for her bladder. WORSE CASE! She has been demonstrating her practice breathing VERY WELL so prayerfully she can let out a nice big cry and keep those lungs inflated for us! I could keep repeating the same thing over and over with all the previous diagnosis of our bay girl but at this point that is something David and I have to focus on and get prepared for. Nothing has changed and all the precautions will still need to be made starting with the test and medications that A.I.DuPont have already ordered as soon as she is here. I just dropped off her first 3 prescriptions for when she gets home one of which is an antibiotic until her body can adjust to the new atmosphere and prevent ANY infections to her lungs and kidney. The ONLY one i havent filled yet is her special formula... i want to see how her body can react to regular formula and adjust and make changes if necessary! Starting her off with medications is an issue for me but with my own research the three i am getting filled are def needed...however with this medicated formula... i need other options first... She has beaten A LOT of odds with this cystic kidney BUT THIS IS STILL A PROBLEM SHE WILL HAVE TO LIVE WITH FOR THE REST OF LIFE! Things can remain how they are and be fine unless dehydration or a really bad cold/flu happens (which is normal)... or like most cyst in her case... cluster and cause a few issues. So please, keep praying and and understand all precautions that are made, are made for the betterment of NO ONE but her! A list will be made for phone calls when she arrives. No one will be left out. We will also be having a welcoming home for her as well and will keep you posted on the details. Until i give birth i still have my blood work and ultrasounds to keep checking up on her and myself. These doctors have been NOTHING but supportive of Ki and they deserve more than a THANK YOU!! Everyone at Christiana Care call her Superstar LOL. Cutest thing ever! It makes me feel amazing how these nurses and techs take her and every other case so personal! And keep me with the same group for better knowledge!
