Me and a artist was talking about producers, how the artist pay them but the producer wont promote the record,but want they name on the publication. I guess a producer get a double wammy, get paid for the beat and free promotion. Im like long as they name on the credits on a physical album and ascap and copy rights they good, but if the producer and artist aint on the same page who care who made the beat. Thats why they got tags and signatures for anyway. If they name dont make the credits, they still get a check. granted a producer wont promote garbage on his beat either. But if i was a producer i wouldnt promote every artist that buy my beat. If i made beats if u aint nice im not selling you a beat i dont want your money but thats me tho. But if dudes was nice im promoting every record i do with a artist. So to play both sides of it,me not being a producer im not promoting a poop rapper. So maybe thats why producers dont??? Answered my own question.
