Me and my brother went through a very traumatizing expirience today. We took our two dogs on a walk to the local dam to see if the water had overflowed dude to recent snow and rain fall. the water was gushing over and covered with debris. All of a sudden River (our biggest and my favorite dog) walked straight into the freezing water thinking it was land, because of all the sticks covering it. He immediately started to panic and managed to put his two paws onto some sticks that werent supporting him and he began sinking slowly. 3/4ths of his body were underwater and he was too scared to swim back towards us. He was in the ice cold water looking so sad and helpless for 10 minutes at least, and all i could do was cry my eyes out screaming and yelling. I felt so helpless and horrible. There was no way he was going to make it. My brother managed to keep his cool as i was losing it, he called my dad. When my dad showed up, rivers head was the only thing showing. River was shaking so bad and my dad told me and my brother to go away. I ran away crying. My dad told us to go away because he thoguht that River was a goner he thought that it would be better if we didnt see him go like that. He sat there trying to calm him down, in what he thought were his last moments, and all of a sudden river snapped out of it and swam back to us. Dont tell me miracles arent real, my dog is alive and sleeping soundly right now. Thats a miracle.
