Me and the BTs are just in from our usual morning walk around the local lanes. We dont meet many people, sometimes none at all, but those we do never fail to say hello or briefly pass the time of day. In contrast, I spent a couple of days last week in my home town, St Helens, and, for a change, decided to take to my feet (luckily, I always have a pair with me) to take in some of my old haunts. In 34 years since I last lived there much has changed, most noticeably the people; I passed many on my little perambulation and not one looked at me, let alone spoke to me. Its sad the way some folk are these days, dont you think?
