Me and the boys went to visit Victoria Davis MacKenzie this afternoon. She was so happy to see her boys. I think the boys were a little shocked seeing their tough as nails mother, laid up in a hospital bed. Made it real for them. She soon reassured them by showing her normal sense of humor and giving them all crap. Movement and strength in her limbs much improved from yesterday. Still not all there, but encouraging. I told her that when she finally walks again on her own power I will shave the beard. She took the bet. Shes now more determined that ever. Worth it for sure. Ran into her surgeon on his way either to or from another life saving procedure. Met the boys, and was excited to talk with them and take a little time to joke with them about the will of their mother. Wanted to hug the guy but held back because that mightve awkward. Very grateful to him. More tomorrow.
