Meaning, Inc. is not only part of Generation: 25 Years of Contemporary Art in Scotland but is also part of Below another sky, the international residency programme to support new work in print by artists from Scotland and Commonwealth countries, commissioned by the Scottish Print Network and curated by Alexia Holt. To coincide with the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow (from 23 July – 3 August 2014), and the associated and nationwide Culture 2014 programme, Glasgow Print Studio will present work in print commissioned by Below another sky and produced by all 20 artists participating in this programme. This presentation, which runs in parallel with the final international artists residencies in Scotland, will provide an illustration of the project in progress and will take place from 18 July – 15 August. The participating artists from Scotland are: Claire Barclay, Christine Borland, Michael Fullerton, Louise Hopkins, Jim Lambie, Scott Myles, Elizabeth Ogilvie, Robert Orchardson, Carol Rhodes, David Shrigley The artists from Australia, Canada, India and Pakistan are: Sarnath Banerjee, Fahd Burki, Julia Dault, Rohini Devasher, Geoffrey Farmer, Emily Floyd, Janice Kerbel, David Noonan, Seher Shah, Shahzia Sikander Find out more about this fantastic programme featuring 20 world class artists at belowanothersky.org/ or like Below another sky on Facebook for updates
