Meaning nourishes the soul. It is one of the greatest human needs, - TopicsExpress

Meaning nourishes the soul. It is one of the greatest human needs, one of our deepest hungers - perhaps it is the most basic human need. Almost anything can be borne if life as a whole is meaningful. But in the absence of meaning, boredom or self-obsession, mere effort or willpower are what is left. Dead religion or a dead job or a dead relationship are those that have no meaning, or are merely habitual. People who are well-off by physical, financial and social standards, find a meaningless life unbearable. But meaning can make pain and exertion, tedium and sorrow not only bearable but even exhilarating. WE ARE IN FACT REACHING OUT TO A POWER BEYOND OURSELVES. WE ARE NOURISHING OUR SOUL. Never a moment in time Do you leave my side Through day and night Your love is mine The greatest love of all Clothed in compassion Kindness, patience And Humility (Psalm 37) - Part of the A Child Unheard Message/ Vision.
