Meanwhile in Japan... This is the Japanese Communist Partys new media campaign. Although they are called communist, there are not that radical. Their policies are anti-TTIP, pro-nationalisation of major industries, against US military bases in Japan, and anti consumption tax (a sales/vat type tax). Im not asking you to vote for them (you probably cant anyway). And some of the issues they highlight arent relevant to the UK anyway (we dont have US military bases the size of Cornwall, for a start). Whats interesting about this is how it is trying to engage a new audience using new media appropriate to its audience. Of course, anime-style art is almost certainly not the best way to engage more than a very limited segment of the UK population.
