Meanwhile, out where the asphalt ends; underneath the stars, by a bed of glowing embers and burning wood....sits a modest man, alone in his own company and deepest thoughts. The warmth of the flame against his brow, the chill of the night air on his back. The reflection of the fire before him, dancing on the leaves of the sawtooth oak standing tall beside him. On the horizon, the soft glow of the city peaks out over the silhouette of the distant pines. However, its noise cannot be heard. No, not from where he sits. Within his observation, all he hears are the sounds of Gods creation. Nature is alive all around him in the form of an invisible chorus, so steady and recurring, it seems as if it has no pause or ending. Both silently still and energetically vibrant at the same time. A unique setting, existing as an intriguing contradiction to itself. Looking up with a sense of humbling reverence, he ponders: Is this a fleeting glimpse of what Heaven might be...or simply a relaxing Friday night, enjoyed from a small corner of life slightly off the beaten path? As the fire begins to die down, and his eyes fixate on the smoke slowly rising up into the dark abyss of the night sky...the answer occurs to him: Its undoubtedly a little bit of both. #comeonovertothecountry
