Measures to be adopted for avoiding man animal conflict SRINAGAR, JULY 17: To avoid man-animal conflict near the villages falling at the foot hills of forests and other human habitations, it has been informed by the Department of Wildlife Protection that the general public particularly people residing near forests shall taken precautions while visiting their fields for day to day work especially during morning and evening hours besides shall avoid taking their children alongwith to their fields and shall restrict the movement of their children towards the nearby first areas. Taking such type of precautions have become necessary due to the observe movement of wild animals especially Black Bears towards nearby villages in the forest areas for search of food in orchards and kitchen gardens. To deal with such conflicts, the Department of Wildlife Protection have established Control Rooms in every district and on the notice of the movement of any wild animal in habitations, it shall be brought to the knowledge of the Department and also the Control Rooms be informed for immediate action to safeguard the lives of people.
