Mechanic/Super Tech - Applications Engineering Specialist– Class 7 & 8 Commercial Trucks Electronics Systems – Pacific Northwest or Florida based. –– Green Technology – Customer interfacing opportunity TriStaff is partnering with this global leader of developing, manufacturing and marketing energy storage and power delivery solutions for class 7 & 8 Commercial Fleet Truck applications. The Applications Engineering Specialist will be an autonomous decision maker with a passion for delivering customer satisfaction and an interest in saving the environment with green technology. You will be working in a small group, start-up environment within a large organization. You will be responsible for hands on training of and installation of Engine Start Modules and secondarily failure analysis. You will be an expert in Class 7 & 8 commercial fleet vehicles. • Presentation of a professional image in all business matters dealing with customers and possess a high level of product and applications knowledge. Comprehensive product training will be provided. • Install products at customer sites and provide installation training for customers. • Be flexible and amenable to working on-site with key customers in support of product integration. • Provide technical, training and sales support to OEM, fleet, and distribution customers in a responsive and timely manner. • Support Technical Help Line by answering calls (evenings and weekends may be included) and providing technical support as required. • Maintain focus on prime customers and provide strong technical support to ESG sales and engineering staffs. • Share field information openly with fellow engineers and maintain proficiency in new product developments, applications and quality matters. • Train and support ESG members or other personnel when requested. • Ability to travel extensively. Primarily North America, at least 50% of the time • Bachelor’s degree, vocational certificate, or equivalent, in electrical or mechanical engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 5-8 years successful sales and/or product application experience. • Applicable electrical and mechanical technical experience in the heavy (Class 7 & 8) trucking industry in areas of maintenance and repair. • Veteran’s with applicable heavy equipment and/or electronics repair and maintenance experience. • Familiarity with, and experienced in, computer data acquisition monitors and data loggers, computer analysis and simulation at basic level. • Strong familiarity with heavy truck industry, including but not limited to knowledge of OEM brands, truck mechanical and electrical designs and architectures, and typical truck issues and problems. • Strong analytical skills are essential, plus excellent communication skills, computer literacy with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation programs. • Must be a self-starter, have strong customer interaction skills, be flexible in a dynamic work environment, values teamwork and shares information openly.
