Media Ethics in Odishan Style A newspaper in Odia very proudly - TopicsExpress

Media Ethics in Odishan Style A newspaper in Odia very proudly brand in its editorial every one who opposes KISS?KITT as Mirjafer, the traitor. Lo and behold, million Dollar question comes now! Who owns the newspaper and are they really an independent media group who are really appreciating the so called pioneering service of KISS to the Tribal people of Odisha?? The KISS/KIIT is a kind of family property of the newspaper house. The editor’s mother is the chairman of the organization and many of their family members are there in the management! What a great media ethics really!! To defend your family you use editorial space and branding your entire critic as traitors! This is worse kind of media ethics! There is also a funny argument in the editorial - forest land can easily be used for tribal institutions! What an illiterate editor the paper must be having really!! He really knows nothing about forest rights act. By the way, is KISS a tribal institute? Who are the office bearers there? When tribal people died in Kalinga Nagar or Raighar, does the editor stand by them? Hundreds and thousands of tribal young boys and girls are rotting inside jails of Odisha for none of their crime; does the editor ever care to say a line in favor of them? When your family is facing wide range of criticism, you are mis utilizing your editorial space to defend the family. What a great sense of shame!!!!
