Media Release From: Denise M. Moloney Community/Media Relations Manager, 352-797-3609 Re: Commercial Burglary - Boy Scout Reservation Date: September 9, 2014 The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance from the community with information regarding a Commercial Burglary that occurred at the Boy Scout Reservation located at 11210 Cortez Boulevard in Spring Hill. The burglary occurred on or about 08-24-14 at the residential buildings that are located on the southeast portion of the Boy Scout Reservation property. During the burglary, an extensive amount of damage was done to the interior of the structures, including broken windows, broken toilets, broken tiles, and dispersed fire extinguishers. The damage totaled approximately $3,000. A witness contacted detectives and advised that a group of juveniles were seen in a white vehicle (unknown make or model) near the Boy Scout Reservation property line on Katherwood Street near Pillar Avenue in Spring Hill.
