Media Release: Service Interruption - South East Trinidad Water and Sewerage Authority wishes to advise customers in South East Trinidad served by the Navet Water Treatment Plant that there will be an interruption in their water supply from 12 noon today - Monday 19th May 2014 for a period of 24 hours. This is to allow for emergency maintenance works necessary to bring the plant up to optimum production. The areas affected include: Parts of Mayaro, Agostini, Clearwater, Rio Claro, Biche, San Pedro, Tableland, New Grant, Piparo, Sisters Road, Hindustan, St. Mary’s, Mandingo, Moruga Road, Craignish, Princes Town, Lengua, St. Croix, Buen Intento, Malgretoute, Iere Village, Mon Stewart, Reform, Palymra, Williamsville, Corinth, Retrench, Barackpore, Rochard Douglas Road, Rochard Road, Parts of Penal Rock Road, Esperance, Diamond, Golconda, Ste Madeline, Debe and Borde Narve. WASA further advises affected customers that following the completion of emergency repairs, there will be a gradual restoration in water supply over a 24 hour period, in accordance with established supply schedules. Customers are asked to manage their water use efficiently. A limited truck-borne water service is available with priority given to health institutions, special homes and schools.
