Media Release: The Washington County Sheriff’s Office has charged two juveniles in connection with thefts from motor vehicles. On August 12, 2014 at approximately 3:00 AM, a Deputy on Patrol in the Halfway area observed two white males walking on the side walk. As the Deputy passed the males, he observed they were both wearing rubber gloves. When the Deputy turned around to make contact with the males, the Deputy observed the males discard the gloves and other items. It was determined that the two males, who are16 years old, were entering unlocked vehicles and stealing items. The juveniles entered several unlocked vehicles located in the area of Hollywood Road and Greenmount Avenue, Hagerstown. Deputies were able to contact the victims and return the stolen property. The juveniles have both been charged with theft.
