Media invitation: To celebrate World Food Day and International Rural Women’s Day, CEDAC is organizing a workshop on food security as it relates to sustainable food production. Women farmers from across Cambodia will present on their experiences with organic agriculture. WHAT: World Food Day event on “Rural Women’s Contribution to Sustainable Agriculture Development and Food Security” WHERE: At the Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC) WHEN: October 16, 2013 from 8:00am- 12:00pm WHY: To increase the awareness on food safety and understand the role of rural women in sustainable food production and organic agriculture WHO: 75 people will attend the workshop including women farmers from six provinces, representatives from CEDAC and GIZ, organic customers and students.
