Medical Receptionist You must be confident, well presented and polite with an articulate and professional telephone manner. Excellent communication and people skills are essential for this role as you will be dealing with visitors and patients who might be feeling a fair amount of anxiety. Previous experience in a private medical practice is a definite advantage. Highly organised and able to work under pressure, you will have exceptional interpersonal skills and be dedicated to providing the best possible service to our patients. You will able to work as part of a team but also independently under your own initiative. You will be IT literate and experienced in using Microsoft Office applications. You must be prepared to work flexible hours and be available to start work immediately. Main duties - To receive patients and other visitors to the Clinic and to answer general enquiries as required. - To book patients appointments using the Clinic’s software. - To ensure that patients are dealt with promptly and courteously and escorted within the Clinic. - To issue forms to patients and to ensure that patients receive adequate support to complete and return them promptly and accurately. - To priorities work and deal with urgent correspondence from/ to GPs when required. - To deal with enquiries from General Practitioners and consultants as they occur and to ensure that follow up actions from their enquiries are enacted promptly. - To make and receive telephone calls on behalf of the Clinic, ensuring high standards of customer care are maintained at all times. - To collect and properly account for payments collected from patients. - To ensure pathology samples are safely dispatched each day and arrange for extra courier services as needed. - To provide administrative support to other members of the clinic when assistance is needed.
