Medical Team Update by Christie Massen Today (Tuesday) was amazing! The medical clinic has really figured out how to run smoothly! Thank you to all the team members for you cooperation and support! When we arrived at JEMO, we were greeted with cheerful, signing, and dancing children. It was a wonderful way to start the day. A thunderstorm rolled in around lunch time. The kids all huddled in the tent and in the church while we fixed them peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I never thought that I would be making PB&J sandwiches in the rain while working with children in Ethiopia. In fact, I never thought I would be in Ethiopia. What an amazing journey this life has given me! I am incredibly thankful for this opportunity! I am not much of a coffee drinker; however, I love the coffee ceremonies that we have after lunch in the Pastors home. The coffee is fabulous, not to mention the atmosphere! The popcorn you are served is wonderful! In fact, I think it is the best popcorn I have ever had. This evening we ate a local restaurant that had singing and dancing. It was incredibly fun! I loved to watch the members of the team dance on stage with the performers. So much fun! We finished the day by preparing more kits for the children and preparing for another day of clinic tomorrow!
