Medical colleges entrance test Many students denied to take test for being ‘late’ GUJRANWALA: Entrance test for admission to medical colleges in Punjab was held here on Sunday. The administration set up centres at Government Comprehensive High School, Model Town, Government Post Degree College for Boys, Satellite Town, and Government High School on GT Road. The test time was fixed at 9am while the entry to the centres was allowed up to 8:30am. Many candidates coming from outstations reached the centres a few minutes late, but before the test time. The administration did not allow them to appear in the test. A female candidate, Iqra Shabbir, reached the centre from Sialkot, but she was late and the administration did not give her permission to sit in the examination. Her mother was with her and she requested DCO Tariq Javed to allow her daughter to sit in the test, but to no avail. City AC Ms Saima Ali allegedly pushed the crying mother and a lady constable took her away. The similar treatment was meted out to another female candidate, Ms Isfa Tariq. She too was late for a few minutes from the entry time, but well within time from the start of the test at 9am. These candidates appealed to Punjab CM to give them chance to compete in the test.
