Meet Asanda Mali, owner and head designer at MalStones. Asanda was born in Port Elizabeth and grew up Qawuqawuli, New Brighton. Asanda started out by making clothing for herself and would get compliments from peers and strangers telling her how much they love her style, some would ask who makes her clothes. Asanda saw a gap to make a career out of what she loved, sewing and fashion. In 2012 MalStones was born and to date makes extra ordinary clothes loved by many. Asanda is inspired by street fashion, vintage wear and African print fabric, her target market are women who want to turn heads when they walk by, look and feel young, fresh and edgy. She might have entered the fashion and design industry by accident but is by far one of the best Designers PE has, a discovered gem heading far who will soon be known by the world!
