Meet Cody, an 8 year old Chihuahua-Dachshund mix. He has a history of intermittent back pain over the last 2 years and his most recent episode in September involved some mild neurologic deficits with his rear legs. He started rehabilitation therapy with Pawsitive Steps Rehab in early October and has been really making great strides since then. He has been working on lots of exercises to strengthen his core and back muscles and has also lost almost 1 lb (which is a big deal for smaller dogs). He and his folks have been diligent with his homework and he is now coming in less often for formal rehab visits as a result. He was in last week and tried out some new skills with Colleen to really challenge his core...check him out walking the peanut forward and backwards too!
