Meet Emma and Emily ❤️ Hi Everyone My name is Emma and I have a Daughter named Emily. Emily was born with Septo Optic Dysplasia and was diagnosed in 1996 at Great Ormand Street Hospital London at the age of 18 months. At the time the prospect to myself and My Husband was bleak as the condition was fairly rare. We were told not to expect to much and that Emily may have lots of problems with Health and would probably have learning difficulties. She was a born fighter. She had real gumption and never failed to prove them wrong. Today at the age of 20 Emily is studying at University with a full scholarship. She excelled in her GCSEs and A levels and even went on to study Astronomy at Greenwich Observatory, even tho some deemed this as impossible due to it being such a visual subject. My point is every child with a disability is capable of great things. They try so hard, if not harder to succeed and I wish all of you and your familys all the very best for the future.
