Meet Gilbert, from the Republic of Congo. He’s five months old and has been vaccinated against polio. . In 2010, a new outbreak of polio occurred in his home town. Luckily, when there is an outbreak of a disease, UNICEF runs vaccination campaigns in order to reach children living in the most remote areas. Polio is a deadly disease with no cure, but there are safe and effective vaccines. Protecting children like Gilbert against polio for life costs just 27p/33 cents. As part of our Change for Good partnership, if you’re travelling with easyJet this summer, you can help us reach more children and protect them against polio by donating on-board your flight.
