Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man (Jesus) has nowhere to lay his head A scupture that was a gift to the St. Albins Episcopal Church in Davidson NC. Acording to the article, The life size sculpture depicting a figure asleep under a blanket on a park bench lies outside this church. The nail-scarred feet peeking out from under the blanket are the only indication that Canadian sculptor Timothy Schmalz is making a religious statement about Jesus.. Seeing Rev Buck sitting next to that made me cry at work today... Imagine.. Saturday, Dave is taking me there to sit and pray at the feet of Jesus. I can Believe that one day, when the Angels have a permanent building of their own.. that Homeless Jesus, will be laying out on the bench in front so that those who see Him, and sit at His feet, will be moved to help others.. There is a bronze plaque is on the bench that says what Jesus says----- Matthew 25:40 .. Truly I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.... there are sculptors in Lansing... you never know what God may just do one day.. i hope these pictures, bring you to tears as it depicts the truth of what Jesus felt for the homeless... Let those tears, change to action for together we WILL make a difference.. love mom
