Meet Josi from Germany! Josi spent this past year with an awesome Long Island host family. The Meyers are now gearing up for their next student, a young lady from Switzerland. When asked about their experience they said, Hosting a student has been so rewarding to us as a family. We are not able to travel the world, so we bring the world to us! It exposes our children to international study and they learn about other cultures all while staying at home. The student may only stay with us for a year, but they truly become a part of our family for life. The world can be a scary place. It can also be a magnificent place filled with beauty, love, and peace. Each country has their own unique culture and customs. Pick up a few phrases in another language, learn to cook exotic dishes, and celebrate some foreign holidays. Rediscover how beautiful our community is through the eyes of another. You have the power to change a young persons life while fulfilling your own! Families, empty nesters, singles, all make excellent hosts! We have days left to place our remaining students.
