At a friends party in Holland What were your first impressions of her music? I really liked it but it did miss a drummer (it was a trio!) What were your first impressions of her? That we immediately clicked. What was your first gig with her/where/howd it go? It was Belgium, first day we really met, it was uhm... It got much better after the first show. What tours have you done with Toby (and where) A few in Europe and one in Western Australia Funniest tour memory? Blenis and something with a beer-cap and a smal hole in a part of a statue in a hotel in WA (Gavin and Daryl know what i mean)... note from editor Blenis was a sock puppet that Tom secretly made in the back seat using a sock, buttons and a travel sewing kit. He had a rather large personality and a rather loud voice, with a very interesting accent. Worst tour memory? Being sick on first day on tour in WA, I think it was food poisoning.. it definitely was shit And Australia not having mayo. (but thats the only downside to WA. they really know how to cook a good steak) Favourite place you have visited with Toby? I theres a lot of those most places in WA were great. I loved Broome. I loved feeding the dolphins in Monkey Mia. But the Barg in Boskoop should not be left out. Favourite TOBY song to play and why? Ohhh theres also a lot of them Gig you are most looking forward to playing on this Reach for The Sun Tour - or place you are most looking forward to visiting? Must be Franks Bodega. The venue is nice and very laid back and well.. its Frank. Great cook, great wine, great person Smallest or largest show you have done with Toby? Smallest must have been the trailer in Germany. (Blues Bus Hamburg) Favourite food to eat on the road? Any food as long as there is a lot of it. I prefer meat and I love my mayo. Funniest memory in the tour van? Blenis & Tom C. Clarke
