Meet Kristopher This handsome 4 year old Rottweiler was found as a local stray in Mt. Prospect by a police officer who instantly felt a connection with Kristopher. The generous officer decided to take him and foster him in his home he shares with his own three pups. Kristopher is great with everyone and everything and you know how you can tell? His stubby tail wiggles and wiggles constantly. He is a very Happy Boy! Kristopher was rescued in bad shape and was obviously neglected in his previous situation. He had muscle disease in his mouth which has now been treated and is gone but he still can only open his jaw to a certain degree. His jaw does not hurt him and nothing else can be done. He still does everything another dog does, like chewing on his bones. He also had to have entropion surgery because his eyelashes grew into his eyes. Now he can see perfectly and is in no pain. This is honestly what rescue is all about. When he came in as a stray, we were told to just euthanize him. He was in too much pain and needed surgery. But after his two surgeries he is as good as new! He is always so happy and excited for walks. If youre looking for a lovable teddy bear, he is your guy. He does not need to be crated. He can be trusted when left alone, is potty trained, and loves playing with his foster siblings. He just really just wants a place to call home!
