Meet Latte. We featured her before when we just got her. She had her lips over her eyeballs with teeth hanging out like fangs at any approach. Obviously her shelter felt this six pound little powder keg was not too adoptable. Came out in a big pile of towels as she ranted and ranted to the truck. Only about a year old,we felt she was just out of her element. A dog who was loved once and now that person was gone.Alone, afraid, and sad. Acting out her frustration and anger. Being defensive because she no longer had the protection of her mom or dad....she was mad, sad and she was going to let the world know. We spent a lot of time with her and finally she came around. One volunteer and then another. We taught her to not use her teeth, to trust us and to get what she wanted, she needed to be nice. What she wants more than life is human interaction. She truly loves the company of people. But the trust had to be earned. She also could no longer be the diva I think her former mom had made her. We gave her a series of dogs as room mates and then a puppy. (Abby in the video- also for adoption) She came alive with the puppy and is now a funny little puppy like girl herself. Latte is ready to meet her new owner. She needs someone who will keep her social training going, will love her but not let her own them, and most of all, give her a forever after. If interested in Latte, please contact us at: thedogspotrescue@aol. Tiny paws waiting.
