Meet Pastor Jean Pierre Nkunda of Kilgali Rwanda Twenty years ago, when Jean Pierre was just nine years old, 2 million Rwandans were brutally murdered in a genocidal effort to wipe out the tribe Jean Pierre Nkunda was born into. Neighbors, friends, and acquaintances rose up in a mad frenzy to obliterate their neighbors, friends and acquaintances. Jean Pierre, at nine years of age watched as all his relatives above about twelve years old were paraded in front of him and his siblings and hacked to death by machetes. Certain to live in the bitterness of this horror, Jean Pierre’s life was reclaimed by the redemptive power of God through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ. In 2007 Minister Nkunda, along with ten other ministers founded Calvary Christian Church in the city he grew up in. He is now the Lead Pastor of an assembly numbering 4,000. Is not the love of God a wonder to behold! This past January, Pastor Nkunda saw some of my writings on water baptism in Jesus name and the Apostles’ Doctrine on Jesus, the Son of God. His background was such that he and his brethren have received the Gift of the Holy Spirit, but was not taught the water baptism in Jesus name, and they were established in the Trinity Doctrine. Pastor Nkunda will be coming to Kenya while I am there and plans to be baptized in Jesus name. He has already come to a knowledge that Jesus is the Son of God and desires to grow in that knowledge. He has told me he will return to Rwanda and baptize the ministers and people of the church he pastors. He is already begun to communicate to the brethren there the Son of God Doctrine, as taught by the Apostles. Let us do valiantly to see the people of Rwanda built up upon the foundation that the Apostles laid, the name of Jesus as the only saving name, the reception of the Holy Spirit, a life of godliness and true holiness, and the hope of the first resurrection, all in the knowledge of Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God.
