Meet Pavlok, the fitness band that will electric shock you into good health You know how it is – youve done 9,000 of your 10,000 steps a day, and you cant be bothered to get up and walk around the block. Pavlok is having none of your excuses. The fitness band, currently in development at Boston-based startup Behavioural Technologies, will zap you with a mild electric shock if you dont meet your fitness goals. At the moment, Pavlok is just a render on Behavioural Technologies website, but developer Maneesh Sethi claims to have raised US$100,000 in funding so far (including US$50,000 from the Bolt Accelerator Program) and has former iRobot and Lego engineer Jim Lynch on board as VP of Engineering.
