Meet Rachana, a local Nepali woman who raised her six younger siblings in a mud hut and taught herself English. She started a support group for at-risk young women in the community, and the 25 of them meet daily to discuss everything from the missing Nigerian girls to their own everyday lives. We partnered with her to fund the opening of their very own building, the brand new Shambat Center, and we were so happy to be invited to the ribbon cutting party.
