Meet Siggy. She was in a high-kill shelter with her kittens when she was pulled by a rescue and sent to foster. She was a great mom and all the kittens have grown up healthy and friendly and gone to their new homes - she even accepted an orphan kitten that was added to her own four in the shelter. Siggy is quite shy, having evidently been stressed out trying to raise her babies on the street. She takes a good bit of time to decide a person means her no harm and accept attention from that person, but she is not aggressive or feral at all. Her preference is for a quiet place where she can take her time getting to know you. Once she has gotten used to you, she has a quiet purr and is quite friendly, although she can startle easily and will sit in a sheltered spot for a time until she relaxes. She has even shown signs of being relaxed enough to play with toys weve provided for her kittens. Siggy would be a good companion for a quiet person with no other pets. Wouldnt you love to see her personality blossom?
