Meet Teddy and Wrangler... Two mini-horses who are part of the Proud Spirit herd. And what theyre doing in these photos is referred to as mutual grooming... In other words, theyre taking care of each other. One of the most stressful aspects of running a nonprofit org is the constant concern over funding. Even when donations are coming in, you STILL worry about NEXT month. So its very meaningful when someone ELSE steps up to ease that burden. Our friend, Mister Buddy (and his wonderful people) have been doing a month-long fund raiser for the rescued horses who live in peace at Proud Spirit Horse Sanctuary. Sorta like Teddy and Wrangler in these photos... Mister Buddy is taking care of others. This is the final day of his fund raiser, and because of his kindness we have received contributions from all over the US, and the world. From as far away as Finland! Totaling nearly $1500...thats huge! But something even bigger happened. A little mischievous horse in NH brought 40 or 50 people together for a single cause. These people opened their hearts and they did what they could for a herd of rescued horses in GA... even $5 made a difference. We will be forever grateful to our little friend (and his people) and to all of YOU who joined us.
